Below describes our involvement on the three major local offshore projects:

HIBERNIA PLATFORM (GBS)

  1. Project management and technical support for numerous modifications projects.
  2. Electrical systems engineering support to Noble Drilling.
  3. Topsides Upgrade.
  4. GBS Slot Additions.
  5. Project management and technical support to the Hibernia EPCM contractor (Production Services Network).

TERRA NOVA PLATFORM (FPSO)

  1. Support to Petro-Canada and the Terra Nova FPSO asset in the transition from start-up to steady state operations.
  2. Development and implementation of a modifications management system and turnaround procedures for Petro-Canada use on the FPSO.
  3. USI personnel played a key role in the successful execution of the Platform’s first turnaround in 2002 and managed the offshore support team for the 2003 turnaround. This involvement continued in the 2005 turnaround as well as the Drydock Turnaround for 2006.
  4. USI personnel are currently playing roles in the planning, project management and construction management of Terra Nova’s most challenging capital projects including the recent Additional Living Quarters (ALQ) Project.
  5. USI is supporting steady state maintenance operations including electrical and hydraulics systems and has supported Petro-Canada with Control Systems, Loss Control, Mechanical and Structural engineering.
  6. Henry Goodrich MODU – project management support for Piping and structural drilling modifications for the Terra Nova field drilling operations.

WHITE ROSE PROJECT (FPSO)

  1. USI has provided both project management and technical support to Newfoundland’s third offshore project.
  2. USI provided management for the design, installation & hook-up of the Turret. We also performed lead roles in the Integrated Control Systems contract, Interface Management, offshore hook-up, construction management, engineering support and project controls.
  3. USI has provided personnel for factory acceptance testing as the Owners representative for packaged equipment.
  4. USI has provided HAZOP/HAZID facilitation for major contracts scope and field installation activities.
  5. USI provided technical assistance to White Rose topsides fabricator NECL in the form of fabrication sequence documents, layout and sea transportation consultancy and structural lifting.
  6. Engineering support to Aker Maritime Kiewit Contractors during the White Rose Topsides installation, start up and commissioning phase of the project.
  7. Structural engineering and drafting of seafastenings for the White Rose Subsea development installation program.
  8. Support to North Eastern Constructors Ltd for project structural engineering support of the M12 Module.
